Making a Donation to the Walter Bergmann Fund
The Walter Bergmann Fund aims to help young recorder players, in special
circumstances, with financial aid. It was set up to honour Walter Bergmann’s
memory and the work he did in promoting recorder playing in the UK.
Bergmann rediscovered and edited a great deal of music for the recorder.
He conducted, accompanied and taught in the London area until his death
in 1988, influencing a great many recorder players and other musicians.
This may be a convenient time to contribute to this fund in Walter Bergmann’s
memory and help his influence carry on.
There are 2 ways you can donate to this fund:
1) Simply add whatever amount you would like to donate on to the amount
on your Annual Subscription cheque.
2) Alternatively, write out a separate cheque for the amount you would
like to donate, making the cheque payable to: Society of Recorder Players
(Cambridge).
Please note, there is no obligation to contribute in this way if you
do not wish to.
