An explanation of the library catalogue

The list is arranged in order of number of players: Solo, Duo, Trio etc. and within these sections by composer. Members may borrow items from the library. The items in the cupboards are arranged in the same way from left to right and top to bottom.

The catalogue number is Solo, DUO etc. followed by the first two letters of the composer's name (AA means anthology) then three digits. The first digit distinguishes between composers whose names share the same first two letters, the remaining digits indicate different items.

The Parts column shows the number of full scores and the number of sets of parts. E.g. if a quartet has S1 P5 there is a conductor's score and enough parts for 20 players.

Some cases will not fit into this pattern:
If there are different numbers of parts for each voice then the numbers of each part may be listed separated by commas.
For some pieces the parts are grouped together so for example an octet for two choirs may have S1, S25, S32, meaning there is one full score; 25 scores for choir one; and 32 scores for choir 2.

Some items contain pieces for various numbers and combinations of instruments; e.g. TRI AA 125 and SEX AA 102 contain pieces for from 1 to 6 parts.
