Prague Old Town

Tuesday October 23 to Sunday October 28 2007

Spend five nights in beautiful Prague and sing in St.Vitus Cathedral and St.Saviour Church.

There will be time for sightseeing and Christmas shopping and an opportunity to hear an opera in one of Prague's three magnificent opera houses, or a concert in the Smetana or Rudolfinum Hall.

"Choral Encounter"

Under the direction of John Catlow, the choir will rehearse and
perform works by
Monteverdi, Bruckner, Bach, Handel

Haydn: Missa Brevis St Joannis de Deo "Kleine Orgelmesse"
(Barenreiter BA 4653a)

There will be five rehearsals in Prague with John Catlow and an accompanist.
A professional soprano will sing the solo parts.
Please bring your own vocal scores.

Performances will be in St Vitus Cathedral, in the Castle District, as part of the Mass and a concert in St Saviour's Church near the Old Town Square

This concert took place on Saturday 27th October in St Saviour's Church, Prague before a large and very enthusiastic audience.

On the following morning the Choir sang Haydn's 'Little Organ Mass' and two anthems for High Mass at the Cathedral of St. Vitus.
